What better way to dive head first into songwriting than attending NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) Spring Training. I joined NSAI 1 month before and decided that if I wanted to learn more and take songwriting seriously this would be a great way to start. It was a whirl wind week with shows from Tin Pan South during the week and Spring Training at the end of the week. I made a lot of new friends and attended shows every night I was there. The very first writer round I experienced was at the “Blue Bird Cafe” where Marty Dodson, Josh Dorr, Brett Jones, and Dave Turnbull entertained the crowd with stories and music. I was immediately hooked and knew that this was the direction I wanted to go in my music career.
Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) is the world’s largest not-for-profit songwriters trade association.
